Disclaimer: I don't own Supernatural that privilege belongs to CW, Kripke and Co, I'm simply borrowing them for a while. I'm not making a profit, this is just for fun and all the standard disclaimers apply.
Little droplets; drip, drip, drip, drumming onto your forehead. You don't need to smell the rusty tang of blood to know it's there. You snap your eyes open, because you know this dream, you have a long history together.
And there she is, your blonde-haired girl burning on the ceiling above your head. Except it isn't your girl this time, it's your Mom, with her new hair, and her hunter's boots, your conversation with Dean earlier echoing from somewhere deep and dark, somewhere where you hoped it would be forgotten.
Because hunters? They only have one future; they die bloody.
A/N: Wow, what an episode - I loved it!!! A great cast of characters, and interactions, and how wonderful was it to see Jody and Mary together? Plus those twins - I'd love to know more!!! There's been so many delightful fics already for this episode, but I just couldn't resist exploring Sam's reaction to seeing that guys (Randy?) blood drip onto Asa's dead body from where it was pinned to the ceiling, and to have his Mom right next to him. Surely they did that purposefully, because that's bound to hurt both Sam and Mary (maybe that's what brought them a little closer here, at least physically, with all that holding and hugging).
